A UFO sighting?
- Where you were: Bushrod Island, Monrovia, Liberia.
- The time: 1755 hrs, 11 July 2008.
- The direction you were looking: West
- How high up you were looking: I'd say 40°.
- How long you saw the object: 20 mins.
- The direction the object was moving: North-south
- Whether it was clear or cloudy: Partially cloudy
- Whether you could see the Moon or Venus or any other astronomical object: No
- Describe what you saw:
I was sitting in a vehicle waiting for my buddies to come out from a shop when I decided to see what a picture of the sun would look like on my nokia 5610. I took the first shot and I could actually see an orb... or so I though. Anyway, I took some more shots and suddenly remember I had a camera (Photosmart M527) in my back pack. I got a few more shots but they weren't as clear as the ones I got on my nokia.
I though it was stationary until I reviewed the pictures on my laptop.
what's that?
My first picture of the sun using my nokia 5610. Notice the additional glow towards the mid right of the picture.
UFO???
In the time it took me to get another shot of the sun, the glowing stuff had moved! The moon doesn't move that fast; does it?
Definitely not the moon!
Notice its new position relative to the first 2 shots. There's a 6 mins time gap between the second pic and this one and I haven't moved from the car.
It's moving again!!!
I definitely have no idea what that stuff is. If I had not taken the first shot, I wouldn't have been able to see it cos of the sun's glare.
To be or not to be a UFO...
Definitely a UFO. Time stamp in between shots is short. The glowing stuff can REALLY MOVE!!!
Still they?
Yes, it's still there but the glow has diminished.
Glow back
whatever it is, it seems to have powered back on. The intensity of the glow is increasing.
UFO dives
I was able to capture this as the glow took a dive. Luckily the moving bus didn't obscure the view
Disappeared?
I couldn't find the glow on this next shot. It seems it suddenly vanished; I however did notice somthing blurry and faint towards the top right corner of the picture (stealth mode???). Then I remembered my digital camera in my back pack. Hoping to get a better shot. See next picture.
Another UFO?
My next shot of the sun revealed that the object had either move to the left or I was seeing another UFO.
In motion
My last shot. The glow was now faint, looking greyish had moved to the sun's 2 o clock.
